Frequently Asked
Questions

I have zero legal research experience. Will I be lost in this course?

Not at all. We start from absolute basics. Week 1 is literally about ‘Legal research methodologies’ and ‘Choosing the right topic’.

By Week 3, you’re working on your first research paper. The course is designed for both law students and practicing lawyers with zero legal research or writing background.

Yes. Live sessions require 1.5-2 hours every week. Self-paced modules are optional but recommended and assignments will consume 1-2 hours.

You can do this in 4 hours/week. If you can’t make a live session, watch the recording. The course is designed for working professionals and busy students.

If you work hard and become one of the meritorious learners, you may be able to land a good internship or publication opportunity.

But here’s the truth: You have to put in the work. The course gives you the skills and introductions. You have to actually apply and interview well.

We eliminate the ‘I don’t have experience’ excuse. Whether you get a job depends on how hard you work with our placement team after Week 8.

Yes, we have dedicated groups where all your questions & doubts can be addressed from time to time.

In case your questions don’t get addressed, you can email us at courses@lawctopus.com and we’ll address the same within 2-3 working days.

This course is better than any free resource out there because of three reasons:

  1. Practice + Feedback Loop: Law school teaches theory. This teaches practice. You draft, submit, get expert feedback, revise: just like a junior associate.
  2. Real-World Examples: Every assignment is based on actual case scenarios. You’re not practicing on hypothetical cases but on real situations courts see.
  3. Placement Network: We have relationships with multiple law firms and litigation chambers. Our placement team works with you rigorously to get you your dream internship and job.

We truly believe our courses will enhance your legal skills, confidence, and career prospects. However, if you complete any of our courses “sincerely” and still feel it didn’t add value to your career, we’ll refund 100% of your fee; no questions asked.

To qualify for the money-back guarantee, you must “sincerely” complete the course, which means:

  • Attend at least 66% of the live classes (with your video turned ON).
  • Submit all assignments and receive a passing grade in each. If you don’t pass on the first attempt, one additional attempt will be provided per assignment.
  • Email us at support@lawctopus.com within 10 days after completion of your batch’s closing session with the subject line ‘Request for Refund’.
